This Privacy Policy explains how Annajee (“the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when restaurant staff use the App.

Annajee is a business operations application for restaurant owners, managers, waiters, and kitchen staff. It is not directed at children.

1. Information we collect

Account and authentication

Mobile phone number (India format) to send a one-time password (OTP)
Authentication tokens stored on the device (secure storage when available)
Staff profile details associated with your Annajee account (name, role, restaurant/tenant)

Restaurant and operations data

Depending on your role and how you use the App, this may include:

Restaurant / tenant profile (name, settings)
Menu items (text and details you enter)
Tables and floor configuration
Orders and order status updates
Staff / employee records you manage
Business reports shown in the App
Restaurant geographic coordinates you set for order geofencing

Device permissions (collected only when you grant them)

Location (while using the App) — to set the restaurant position used for customer order geofencing

What we do not collect in the current release

The App does not request or collect:

Camera or photo library access
Microphone or audio recordings
Payment card numbers, bank account details, or other financial account information

Technical data

We do not sell personal information. The App does not show third-party advertising networks in the current release.

App version, device type, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service
Network requests to our Annajee API and realtime updates over encrypted connections

2. How we use information

We use the information to:

Authenticate staff and maintain sessions
Provide restaurant operations features (orders, tables, menu, staff, reports, settings)
Sync data with your Annajee backend account
Improve reliability and security of the App and API
Comply with legal obligations

3. How information is shared

Information is processed by:

Annajee backend services
Infrastructure / hosting providers that process data solely to run the service under our instructions

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Restaurant administrators control which staff accounts can access tenant data inside Annajee.

4. Data retention

Account and restaurant data are retained while the restaurant/staff account remains active on Annajee systems, and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

You can request deletion or deactivation of staff or restaurant data by contacting us. Logging out of the App clears local session tokens and cached profile data stored on the device.

5. Security

We use HTTPS for API communication and store authentication tokens using platform secure storage when available. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect devices that have the App installed and signed in.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for workplace use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by local law).

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law (including Indian IT rules and, where relevant, other privacy laws), you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting contact@annajee.com. Staff can also log out of the App at any time from the More screen.

You can revoke location permission in Android system settings; geofencing-related features will stop working until permission is granted again.

8. International processing

If you access Annajee from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed in India or other regions where our service providers operate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
